Surprise, AZ (July 28, 2020) City primary election results will be posted to surpriseaz.gov and featured on Surprise TV, the city’s cable TV channel, Tuesday evening, August 4.

The unofficial results are expected to be released by the Maricopa County Elections Department approximately after 8 p.m.

Surprise is voting on candidates for Mayor and City Council Districts 2, 3 and 4 with terms ending December 31, 2024. Voters will also choose a District 5 Councilmember for a 2-year term ending December 31, 2022. The winners will assume office the first meeting in January 2021 after receiving the official oath of office. 

 

Surprise, AZ (July 30, 2020) The City of Surprise is currently accepting applications for the following Commission. All Board/Commission positions are voluntary. 

· Panning & Zoning Commission – 1 vacancy for remainder of term through June 30, 2023
