Surprise, AZ (December 28, 2020) Fore! Come join us on Saturday, January 16, 2021 for the Itty Bitty Open, a great way for parents to introduce their children to the game of golf.

This FREE event has four clinic times starting at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. at Mark Coronado Park, 15850 North Bullard Ave., Surprise. Juniors and their parents will learn the basic skills of golf taught by qualified PGA and LPGA professionals. After the clinics, the kids will then participate in fun-filled, non-competitive golf games and tournaments.

Surprise, A‌Z (December 17, 2020) The Surprise City Council voted December 15 to fund more than $8 million in park-related projects that advance the goals of the city’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

Surprise, AZ (December 15, 2020) Daytime work to install flashing yellow arrows and upgrade the vehicle detection equipment on the traffic signals at the Bell and Citrus roads intersection is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, December 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The traffic signals in the intersection will be disabled during the majority of the work. Surprise Police will be on scene to control traffic however drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Surprise COVID cases keep rising sharply

The Arizona Department of Health Services reported the overall number of Surprise COVID-19 cases at 4,832 on Dec. 11.
