The Arizona Attorney General is a statewide four-year elected position and is the Chief Legal Officer of the state. I live in the city of surprise where we elect council members every 2 years. They are elected according to az statutes and city code for a 4 year term. I recently found out that they have been serving 5 year terms without any explanation. 07/07/2020

I wonder if our Candidates for office are encouraged to read the Arizona State Constitution, the Arizona Revised Statutes and what we have on the books for the City of Surprise, I doubt it.

That there are term limits for an elected executive position in AZ ?All elected officials hold a term of four years, and are limited to two consecutive terms (except the office of the State Mine Inspector, which is limited to 4 terms).

In Arizona the term for elected office, is for four years. The Council can call a special election to present bond issues to local residents. The term is for four years. There are 91 incorporated municipal governments (cities and towns) in Arizona.

When I was on the city council I told them that they should work on up dating the website , because it was and is still bad .
