Mayor Lyn Truitt
After receiving the signatures below Mayor Lyn Truitt said that they would have a work shop on this, don’t hold your breath.
More than 500 residents in the Desert Oasis residential development in Northern Surprise have signed a petition calling on the Surprise City Council to lower the impact fees they blame for delaying a grocery store project long-planned for the northwest corner of Grand Avenue and 163rd Avenue.
Mayor Lyn Truitt
Mayor Lyn Truitt received a lot of negative responses from the citizens attending the council meeting last night, especially about holding this important meeting at 4:00 while most people are working.
Lyn Truitt is wrong if he thinks this is open government.
Mayor Lyn Truitt
In my view, Mayor Lyn Truitt as seen on the video of the meeting held June 11th voted spending the $100,000 for the sign, because it was in the 2009 Budget and being in the Councils Contingency Fund could not be carried over into the 2010 Budget.
This was the reason Vice-Mayor Joe Johnson with the assistance of City Manager Randy Oliver put this on the agenda right away, after being turned down in the previous council meeting.
This Council and City Manager is not spending the tax payer’s money prudently.
Mayor Truitt’s accomplishments
I had put this in the newszap.com blog hoping that I would receive an answer that I could post on this web site.

In your opinion, what has he accomplished that has benefited the citizens of the City of Surprise the most?
Might the reader’s of this web site make a list of what our Mayor & Council has done to make our life or living standards better.

Hiring a City Manager
When we elect our Mayor and Council we hope that they will be fiscally sound, so when we hire a new City Manager lets hope that he too will be fiscally responsibly and before he hires more employees that they do an efficiency audit on the department wanting more employees.
