City Council Meeting, May 24, 2007
· *Item #6 – Approved an Intergovernmental Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding with Maricopa County and the City of El Mirage for joint participation in a Design Concept Report preliminary engineering for improvements to El Mirage Road between Bell Road and Northern Avenue – APPROVED.
Council Member Elkins removed this item from consent to emphasize concern for this area. Should the design concept be approved, there would be no cost to the City, correct?
City Engineer, Dr. Maki commented that we will have an obligation to provide 1/3 of the cost per the agreement. If we decide to not move ahead, our obligation would be $182,000.00.
Council Member Elkins made the motion to approve an Intergovernmental Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding with Maricopa County and the City of El Mirage for joint participation in a Design Concept Report preliminary engineering for improvements to El Mirage Road between Bell Road and Northern Avenue Council Member Foro seconded the motion. Seven yes votes. Motion carried.
