An agenda item regarding Imagine Charter School in Surprise has been removed from tonight’s Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

The city released this statement:

“Due to insufficient public notice that it would be on the agenda, city legal staff says the item involving Imagine Charter School cannot be heard at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting tonight, November 6, 2007.”

The Commission agenda for tonight’s 6 p.m. meeting included consideration of a conditional use permit for Imagine Charter School, subject to stipulations.”

“Because the issue had been continued at a previous Commission meeting with no new hearing date set, a variety of advertising and public notice requirements had to be met in order for the item to appear on a future agenda. City legal staff determined that those requirements were not sufficiently met prior to tonight’s meeting and therefore the item cannot be considered.”

“A new date for consideration of the Imagine School conditional use permit has yet to be determined.”
