Surprise calling out for Board of Adjustment Volunteers
SURPRISE, AZ (March 31, 2008) The City of Surprise is currently accepting applications for the positions of Voluntary Board of Adjustment Members. This is a newly formed Board that will consist of five members with staggered terms and a maximum term limit of 3 years. The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body created to hear and decide appeals from decisions by the Surprise Community Development Director and/or their designee.
Applications are available for pick-up daily from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the City Clerk’s Office.

Applicants for the Board of Adjustment must reside within Surprise City limits. A copy of Ordinance No. 08-14, and other pertinent information will be attached to the application at time of pickup outlining the duties for this Board.
Applications must be submitted to the City Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. – Friday, April 4, 2008 (official closing date). If you have any questions, please call the City Clerk’s Office at 623-222-1000.
