Bell Road restrictions in Surprise April 8-10
SURPRISE, AZ (April 1, 2008) A good portion of Bell Road, west of Grand Avenue, in Surprise will undergo slurry patching from April 8 – 10, and lane restrictions will be enacted during the work.
On Tuesday, April 8, crews will close the center lanes of both eastbound and westbound Bell Road between Grand Avenue and SR 303 for slurry patching, which involves patching potholes and placing a slurry seal over the patch to improve the road surface.
On Wednesday, April 9, the curb lanes of both eastbound and westbound Bell Road will be closed between Grand Avenue and SR 303 for the same work.
On Thursday, April 10, the westbound center lane of Bell Road will be closed to allow slurry patching from 175th Avenue to Carefree Road.
The slurry patching is necessary to protect the road from any potentially damaging rainfall ahead of the more permanent improvements planned under Phase 2 of the Bell Road Reconstruction Project, scheduled for later this summer.
