Award Winning Surprise Bambino Buddy Ball Going on Now
SURPRISE, AZ (September 18, 2008) The Surprise Community and Recreation Services Department is calling out for athletes to participate in the award-winning Bambino Buddy Ball, an adaptive recreation program. Athletes with physical and/or developmental disabilities are encouraged to sign up and join in the fun!
This non competitive league is designed for athletes four years of age and older to play the game of baseball in its purest form. Athletes can utilize a “Buddy” as needed to assist with hitting, running the bases or just socializing. This is truly a barrier free environment.
The City of Surprise is also looking for “Buddies” or volunteers to participate in the program.
For details and more information on this and all Adaptive programs visit the web at www.surpriseaz.com/adaptive or call 623.222.2257. Everybody deserves the chance to play ball!
