Bell Rd reconstruction


 

SURPRISE, AZ (Oct.9, 2008) Some work dates have changed for portions of the Bell Road Reconstruction, Phases 2 and 3.  Here are the updated traffic restrictions to look for in the coming weeks.  *(Maps available at www.surpriseaz.com/transportation)

 

  

Westbound Bell- Reems to 303: Oct. 5 – Oct. 12

  • Starting at 9 p.m. each night from Oct. 5 – Oct. 12, westbound Bell will be closed from Reems to the 303. These nighttime closures (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) will allow crews to prepare the area for rubberized asphalt paving.

Bell Road/Reems Road Intersection: Oct. 24 – 27 (new dates)

  • On Friday, Oct. 24, crews will close the Bell/Reems intersection in all four directions to prepare for paving and for final paving. This nighttime closure will be from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., on Oct. 24, 25 and 26.  The intersection will reopen to traffic the morning of Monday, Oct. 27.

Westbound Bell- Parkview to 303: Oct. 29 – 31 (daytime work) (new dates)

The westbound lanes of Bell from Parkview to the 303 will be restricted down to one lane beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, as crews begin installing rubberized asphalt. This product is temperature sensitive and must be installed during the warmer daytime hours.  

  • Crews will begin installing the rubberized asphalt on westbound Bell between Parkview and Reems on Oct. 29 and continue to move west on Bell during the daytime hours through Oct. 31, until they reach the 303. Lanes will be reopened after the rubberized asphalt has set.
