  • The City of Surprise and the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce have teamed up in their commitment to support local businesses and encourage residents to shop in Surprise to keep their tax dollars at home this holiday season.
  •    The Chamber will have the window clings available in their office, 12801 W. Bell Road, Suite 14, and offer them at various member networking events.  Surprise business members will also receive word about the from the chamber’s outreach efforts, including a weekly email newsletter.    

  •  Surprise Firefighters Charities is collecting new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food to help brighten the holidays for about 1,000 local children ages 12 and younger.  Families in need, with children 12 years of age or younger, can register for a qualification appointment by emailing their name and phone number to info@surprisefc.org or by calling 623.565.8944 and they will be contacted by a member of Surprise Firefighters Charities

    The Surprise Streets Maintenance Division will be performing surface improvement work on Bell Road, between R.H. Johnson Blvd. and El Mirage Road, beginning November 30.  The approaches at each intersection will be milled and overlaid to even out the road surface.  All work will be performed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., from November 30 – December 4, and between the hours of 9 p.m. – 8 .a.m., over the weekend of December 5 and 6.            The City of Surprise has been notified of a planned transformer move through city limits on November 30. The planned route through Surprise will be the Sun Valley Parkway/Bell Rd. to Cotton Lane to Greenway Road to Reems Road to Grand Avenue where it will head east along SR-74 onto Scottsdale.   Come celebrate with the City of Surprise Community and Recreation Services Department as they host the 8th Annual Surprise Party at the Surprise Recreation Campus on December 4th & 5th.  This two day event will consist of a wide variety of family oriented activities and live entertainment with something for everyone to enjoy! Surprise Party is a FREE event with the donation of packaged food, new unwrapped toy or children’s clothing item to Sanderson Ford Lincoln Mercury Volvo’s “Operation Santa Claus”.   Donations will benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance Tim and Will’s Kid’s FUN-dation, the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center and Choose to Help.
