132 eighth graders from Desert Moon and Mountain View schools will be at Surprise City Hall and the Public Safety Building on Wednesday, Nov. 4, to learn more about city government and jobs. The day begins at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, when Mayor Lyn Truitt greets the students and gives a brief overall presentation. They students are then broken up into smaller groups and tour Surprise Police, Surprise 11 TV Studio, City Court and the Communiversity @ Surprise. The tours wrap up around 12 p.m.

Responsibility and Accountability
This is where Mayor Lyn Truitt and his gang must of got the idea for tax payers to pay for what the developers should.
State and local government officials should embrace the responsibility for guiding local communities toward beneficial long-term growth and development that recognizes the desires and expectations of local residents and property owners, but transcends narrow or immediate interests and seeks the broadest possible community benefit.
