Subject: Marley ParkMorning John
Have you done any research on the operation of the city owned park in Marley Park, such as the money in the budget for this park (I believe it was approx. $2M) that I was assured was not going to be used if the City let Marley Park form an improvement district? There might be times that the Council does not verify that their intent was followed through. We should be able to use it so it’s beneficial to all residents of Surprise.
Thank you for your time, as always Bob Vukanovich
Never have recieved an answer from Mr. Wiiiams on this question nor how many acres Surprise owns in Marley Park.

The intention of this event is to bring the entire community together to attack the issue and build our hometown pride. If we truly want to develop a greater sense of community, then we all need to take pride in every corner, every street, and every home in our city.
The same pride many of us take in our own homes, the care we put into our properties, can rub off on others . Surprise Community Pride Day will be an opportunity to pick some weeds and trash, and translate the same pride we take in our own private homes and rub that off on the entire city. We will have a stronger community because of it.
So at 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 21st, at Surprise Stadium, join me, city staff, elected officials, PD, Fire, Denny’s, Chick-fil-a, and other businesses and residents of Surprise as we show our hometown pride. If you have further questions call or email.
Thanks again, and I look forward to getting dirty and sweaty with all of you.
Lets give Councilman John Williams credit for staying on top of the issues.

Excerpt: Stay tuned to the “Council Conversations” program, I will be putting together a show that will outline how you can build a very effective Neighborhood Watch program. We will model the Copper Canyon community which has built a team of 70+ Block Captains. This will benefit you, your block, your community, and our entire city!!!Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments
How do we tune in, and who will monitor these conversations?

In these economic times, it has been my position that we need to do everything we can as a city to support our residents, residential communities and the Homeowners Associations which are responsible for the preservation of our communities. In the city of Surprise, HOAs are ultimately responsible for caring and maintaining our neighborhoods. They do the job that in many other cities throughout this nation (including my hometown) a city Public Works or Sanitation Department handled.
I will always support what is best for our city, and not necessarily what is best for our city government. Now that the council has ruled on the “back-billing” issues, the residents must now hold accountable and support the HOAs moving forward. These non-profit entities will have the greatest impact on the value of our homes and the quality of life in our neighborhoods. While the presidential election will gather much attention, local government and local entities like HOAs have a much greater impact on our daily lives.
If this is true in my HOA I am moving.
