The arrest of Daniel Cook came on the heels of an extensive investigation by the Surprise Police Department after Cook was identified as a key person of interest, said Sgt. Mark Ortega.
Ortega said Cook was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on 14 counts of burglary, nine counts of criminal damage and two counts of theft of a credit card. He also faces one count each of fraudulent use of a credit card, trafficking in stolen property, theft of means of transportation and unlawful flight from police.
A patrol officer spotted the suspect during the weekend, recognized him and took him into custody, Ortega said.
