Agendas must contain information reasonably necessary to inform the public of the

matters to be discussed or decided. A.R.S. § 38-431.09.

The council made a permanent change at the last meeting on the advice of the city attorney which appears to have been given outside of the council chambers.

Surprise, AZ (October 6, 2020) Mayor Skip Hall officially proclaimed October as “Domestic Violence Awareness Month” at tonight’s Regular City Council Meeting and City Hall is lite purple to raise awareness.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month connects advocates across the nation who are working to end violence against women and their children, mourn those who have died because of domestic violence and to celebrate those who have survived.

Purple is the nationally-recognized color signifying domestic violence awareness.

Surprise, A‌Z (October 9, 2020) The City of Surprise is excited to announce the 5th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Celebration and Service. The event willbe held virtually in January 2021 and in preparation for the celebration, the city is seeking sponsors, performers, art contest submissions and community service volunteers.
